Job Details

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Office Assistant to join our team of professionals at a well respected Construction firm. This role is responsible for handling day-to-day office administrative tasks while also serving as the primary receptionist. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask efficiently. This position is designed to transition into an Office Manager role with training and development. Qualifications & Skills

1-3 years of experience in an administrative or office support role.
strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Professional and friendly demeanor with a customer service mindset.
Experience with office management duties or willingness to learn.

salary: $19 - $20 per hour

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and vendors, ensuring a warm and professional welcome.
Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries in a courteous manner.
Maintain office organization, including ordering supplies, managing mail, and ensuring office cleanliness.
Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, and preparing conference rooms.
Support various departments with data entry, document management, and filing.
Assist in processing invoices, expense reports, and other administrative financial tasks.
Help coordinate company events, employee onboarding, and office-wide communications.
Learn and support office management tasks, including vendor coordination, facilities management, and process improvement initiatives.
Take on increasing responsibilities to prepare for an eventual transition to the Office Manager role.
