About the Role: The Payroll Clerk is responsible for supporting the Payroll Manager in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of the company’s payroll. This role involves verifying and approving time cards, maintaining accurate payroll records, and managing employee payroll data. Additionally, the Payroll Clerk ensures compliance with all tax regulations and labor laws. We are thrilled to see how your skills and experience will contribute significantly to our company. Below is an overview of your responsibilities and other pertinent information.

Job Title: Payroll Clerk

Department: Payroll

Reports to: Payroll Manager

Hourly Rate: $20

Key Responsibilities:

Support to the Payroll Manager
- Assist in processing payroll according to established pay cycles.
- Help resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.

Time Card Verification and Approval
- Review and verify the accuracy of time cards before payroll processing.
- Ensure that hours worked, overtime, and absences are correctly recorded and authorized.
- Coordinate with supervisors and employees to correct any discrepancies.

Payroll Processing and Compliance
- Enter and update payroll-related data in the system.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and labor laws.
- Prepare reports and assist with payroll audits as needed.

General Administrative Duties
- Maintain organized payroll records and documentation.
- Assist with employee payroll-related requests.
- Support other HR and finance-related tasks as needed.

General Skills & Qualifications:

Strong Leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement in learning.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to unpredictable situations.
Handle interacting with various team members on a daily basis.
Experience in accounting, finance, or payroll is preferred.
Knowledge of payroll software and timekeeping systems.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Must have an active driver’s license and be approved on the company’s insurance.
Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance as needed.

Benefits:

Medical, dental, and vision benefits are provided through Thatch’s ICHRA, starting on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
Paid time off is accrued weekly from the first week of work but cannot be used until after completing 90 days of employment. Eligible employees are required to provide ample notice and get HR/Managerial approval prior to using paid vacations.
$40 personal phone reimbursement eligibility depending on position will be issued monthly.

Communication Channels:

Email; a towerev, towermobility, or towerwav email will be assigned to you.
Dialpad; for making outward calls or receiving inward calls based on department.
Microsoft teams; for internal communication between employees.

Technology:

Stay updated on technological advancements and utilize company tools and resources effectively.
Preferred general knowledge on all Microsoft Applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
General Knowledge of the Uber Application, and its functions.
General to Proficient knowledge of ADP depending on job position.
Be able to quickly learn new apps, software, and dashboards adopted and used within the company.
Abide by the company’s cybersecurity policies.

Adhere to Tower’s policies and procedures as indicated in the Employee Handbook.
Work in a safe and effective manner.
Perform duties as workload necessitates.
Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude.
Communicate regularly with team members or higher management about work related topics depending on the issues.
Demonstrate efficient time management skills.
Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
Meet applicable productivity standards.
Complete all other duties as assigned by TowerMobility.

Additional Information:

Employees must have reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
Schedules are malleable and may be subject to change. Please check in with Management regarding any changes.
