Description
Job Title: Entry Level Mig Welder Pay: $17-18/hr (depending on experience) Job DescriptionYou will support day-to-day manufacturing operations by engaging in hands-on production and assembly work. You will be responsible for assembling components, preparing materials, and operating equipment to ensure products are built accurately and efficiently. This role requires the use of power tools and a MIG welding machine for assembling metal parts used in constructing containment rooms. You will also follow blueprints, templates, and work instructions to fabricate components and ensure they are completed on time and within specifications.Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on assembly and production work to convert raw materials into finished products.
- Utilize tape measure for precise measurement of materials down to the 1/16th inch.
- Responsible for MIG welding, assembly, and learning TIG welding.
- Follow blueprints, templates, and work instructions for accurate assembly and fabrication.
- Measure, mark, and prepare materials for cutting, drilling, and assembly.
- Operate production equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with general fabrication tasks, including cutting, bending, forming, and fitting parts.
- Support overall production flow to ensure builds are completed on time and within specifications.
- Troubleshoot basic production issues and adapt to changing job requirements or workflows.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on production assembly experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or construction environment.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and grinders.
- Ability to follow work instructions, blueprints, or templates.
- Experience with metal parts/components and proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
- Blueprint reading and fabrication processes knowledge.
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read a tape measure down to the 1/16th inch.
- Pass an all positions groove plate weld test for MIG welding.
- TIG welding test to assess current skill level.
- Experience in construction, assembly, fabrication, or shop settings.
- Proficiency in chop saw, bandsaw, and shear usage is a plus.

You will work in teams within a very diverse workforce. Must be able to travel approximately three trips a year, each lasting about two weeks. Steel-toed boots are required, and if you will be welding, you need to have your own welding equipment.
