Our work depends on a Ship Integration & Test (SI&T) Lead Senior Design Engineer/ Integrator joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities.

As a SI&T Lead Senior Design Engineer/ Integrator supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. This senior position will be tied to both Program Management and Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the development and integration of the technical products (Space Arrangements, Electrical Products, HVAC impacts, Electrical impacts, Electronic Cooling Water impacts, etc.) that in total represent a complete Technical Data Package (TDP).

Specific responsibilities include:

Interface with the government sponsor to take direction on products requiring development and keeps the government POC informed of progress and TDP delivery dates
Organize design team resources to ensure effective production of goods and/or services
Provide work direction, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work
Prepare reports and records for the government as required
Manage the development of TDPs
Integrate the products into a complete TDP
Interface with the government sponsor
Prepare reports that provide a status of TDP developments
Ensure all components of the TDP are being developed

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

A Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in the relevant field and 10+ years of experience as a Design Engineer/Integrator for large ships (or 15+ years of experience without a degree)
Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector
A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.
US Citizenship is required
Location: Washington, DC or Chesapeake, VA or Moorestown, NJ

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $128,242 - $173,504. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
