Advanced Systems Engineer- Geospatial / IT / SW

McLeansville, NC

Contract Position

$51.33-$56.33/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

- Design and maintain command and control and data processing systems that support national security through cutting-edge geospatial solutions.

- Develop and maintain command and control and data processing systems, implementing geospatial solutions to enhance mission-critical operations.

- Deploy and manage enterprise solutions using VMware Cloud Foundation Server.

- Administer hybrid-cloud servers, ensuring system reliability and security for customer data solutions.

- Design, implement, maintain, and analyze GIS and database solutions for defense applications.

- Utilize ArcGIS and related tools to support geospatial analysis and solution development.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, or a related STEM field.

- Experience:- Proven expertise in deploying and managing enterprise solutions with VMware Cloud Foundation Server.

- Experience in geospatial analysis and implementation using ArcGIS.

- Technical administration experience for servers hosting hybrid-cloud data solutions.

- Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining GIS and database solutions.

- Preferred Experience:- Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise in a virtual environment.

- Experience in Python tool creation, JavaScript applications, and Java development.

- Proficiency with source code management tools (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).

- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

- Familiarity with Agile development environments.
