Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management Consulting - Full Time

JOB DESCRIPTION Spinnaker SCA is now hiring for a Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management Consulting .

The Senior Manager is involved in practice building, resource management, sales and account management, and client delivery. Specifically, managing the development of implementation tools and strategies to standardize and deliver consulting services, including ensuring the knowledge and deliverables developed on projects can be reused.

This role acts as a point of escalation for resource management and provides sales support, client delivery, and project account management support. Senior Managers assist in identifying, qualifying, and supporting the sales efforts for new business opportunities.

The Senior Manager analyzes and optimizes a company's entire supply chain process, from raw materials procurement to product delivery, by designing and implementing strategies to improve planning efficiency, inventory management, and execution across all stages, focusing on both forecasting demand and ensuring smooth operational flow to meet customer needs, often involving the implementation of technology solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams within the client organization to achieve cost savings and delivery improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES Client Delivery Serve as a trusted adviser for senior executives at Spinnaker clients.

Participate in consulting engagements as a subject matter expert for Planning and Operational Improvement project initiatives.

Managers have shared responsibility for proposed project approaches and staffing with VP oversight.

Act in the capacity of a trusted adviser within one or more of the key delivery areas: Management Consulting Services (strategy development and business process improvement).

Functional Application Implementation and Support Services.

Technical Chain Application Implementation and Support Services.

Serve as a subject matter expert of business processes including Supply Chain Planning, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Order Management, Manufacturing, Warehousing, and Forward and Reverse Logistics.

Support the implementation of technology solutions and support client service delivery across the firm.

Provide industry-specific best practice implementation support for client implementations in key Spinnaker SCA industry verticals.

Perform the role of Project Manager, Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Lead/Principal consultant for client engagements.

Assessment and Analysis: Conduct thorough assessments of current supply chain operations, identifying pain points, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement across planning and execution functions.

Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive supply chain strategies including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, production scheduling, transportation planning, and warehouse management to align with business objectives.

Solution Design: Design and implement technology solutions like ERP systems, supply chain planning tools, and warehouse management systems to support optimal planning and execution processes.

Identify and implement process improvements across the supply chain, including workflow optimization, data integration, and performance metrics development.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements across the supply chain, including workflow optimization, data integration, and performance metrics development.

Change Management: Facilitate change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new strategies and technologies within the client organization.

Project Management: Lead and manage consulting projects from initiation through implementation, including project planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS Required: Supply Chain Expertise: Deep understanding of supply chain management principles, including planning, procurement, production, distribution, and logistics.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.

Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with various supply chain management software and tools, including SAP, Oracle, and JDA.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively present complex concepts to clients and stakeholders at all levels.

Consulting Skills: Proven experience in client relationship management, project scoping, and delivering impactful solutions.

Preferred: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is required. Equivalent experience includes a proven track record of skills, professional accomplishments, or training related to the role.

Subject matter level of knowledge in one or more (ideally 2-3+) of the following: 2+ years of Technology solutions implementation experience (Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, o9, SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, Coupa, Korber, etc.).

5+ years of business processes (Supply Chain Planning, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Order Management, Manufacturing, Warehousing, and Forward and Reverse Logistics).

5-10 years of Supply Chain Technology solutions implementation experience.

Implementation experience in key client industries.

Specific knowledge and experience using the system development life cycle for the implementation of enterprise systems.

Strong problem-solving skills (ability to follow a DMAIC process – define, measure, analyze, improve, control).

Quantitative and analytical skills.

Ability to take general circumstances or client requirements and formulate clear project objectives and approaches.

Presentation abilities (up to CxO levels).

PMP, APICS Certifications are a plus.

Specific knowledge of common change management doctrines and best practices.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pay Range: $110,000 - $230,000 USD + Bonus

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Spinnaker SCA. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
