Assistant Manager, Insurance Service

The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

Pay Range:$86,917.00 - $130,376.00

What You'll Be Doing

Assists the department manager in the day-to-day operations of the Insurance Services department. Serves as a technical lead and supervisory support for insurance agents to effectively develop and manage relationships necessary to increase participation and service to Members seeking information on insurance products offered through SchoolsFirst Insurance Services. Responsible for securing new policies, maintaining and updating existing insurance policies in order to provide the most favorable coverage, cost and terms of insurance products offered.

Serves as an escalation point for complex Member issues, underwriting and rating procedures for personal lines policies. Works to resolve Member issues.Prepares quotes for Members and issues policies from multiple carriers using an automated rating system and interacts with Members in answering questions while ensuring appropriate coverage is offered so the Member's needs are adequately protected.Provides consultative services to Members regarding credit union products and services and ensures that insurance services teammembers are providing consultative services by assessing the Member's needs, addressing their concerns and gaining agreement.Ensure all required insurance data is accurately captured from the Member, entered and maintained in the agency management system.Additional Job Functions

Supervises teammembers directly, including selection, training, performance appraisal and work allocation. Responsible for scheduling staff.Helps establish, communicate and achieve the credit union's goals and standards, ensuring these are fully communicated to and understood by all department staff.Identifies areas to streamline department and credit union operations.Complies with all government regulatory policies, internal policies and procedures, audit standards, remains current on and informed of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and apprises staff.May act in the capacity of the Manager in his or her absence.Performs other duties as assignedComplies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actionsPeople Management

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED requiredBachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred3-5 years of previous related experience required1-3 years previous supervisory experience requiredProperty Casualty Insurance LicenseKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Well-versed in all areas of personal lines of insuranceWorking knowledge of AMS management systemProficient in use of FSC rating softwareFamiliar with company underwriting guidelinesProficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Excellent written and oral communication skills
