Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Entry-Level Civil/Structural Bridge Engineer to assist on a variety of public and private sector infrastructure projects in Albany, NY!

Colliers Engineering & Design offers aspiring engineers the opportunity to work on a very diverse range of structural projects, often complex in nature for a wide spectrum of clients. The work setting is highly collaborative with structured mentoring from a team of seasoned engineers. As we move forward as part of Colliers Engineering & Design, we continue to be a trusted advisor to clients, provide vital support and advisement on projects that have a positive and lasting impact on communities and society as a whole. Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will work in the Northeast Bridges & Structures group of the Companys Infrastructure Division on various projects including new or rehabilitated highway, rail and pedestrian bridges and culverts, retaining walls and temporary structures for contractors.
Responsibilities will include the preparation of a variety of engineering analyses and computations, CAD drawings, technical reports and cost estimates.
Close coordination with your engineering peers in the highway/traffic, construction inspection and water resource divisions.
Occasional field work and bridge inspection duties may be required.
Opportunities to experience and participate in the design of structural projects for other related Infrastructure Division departments including Rail, Waterway Structures and Hydropower.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
0-2 years experience
EIT certification preferred
Ability to work in a professional team-oriented environment
Strong work ethic and willingness for continued learning
Knowledge of NYSDOT, AASHTO and AREMA design codes a plus
Knowledge using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation a plus
