Title: Business Analyst/Project Manager

Location: New Brunswick, NJ (50% onsite)

Duration: 06+ Months (Extendable)

Pay Rate: $80.00 – 92.14/hr on W2

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
8-10+ years Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a strong background in project management.
8-10+ years Proficiency in event storming techniques and experience facilitating event storming sessions.
8-10+ years MS Project, SharePoint, Excel.
8-10+ years manufacturing systems LIMS, CeLabs, MES, ERP – SAP.
Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.

Description:

Seeking a seasoned professional with proven expertise in both business analysis and project management.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of successfully bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution, demonstrating the ability to gather and analyze requirements, define project scope, and drive initiatives from conception to completion. This dual-role expert should be adept at stakeholder communication, process improvement, and cross-functional team leadership, ensuring that both business objectives and project timelines are consistently met.

Outline of key responsibilities & deliverables:

Business Analyst Role:

Facilitate Event Storming Sessions: Lead and facilitate event storming sessions with cross-functional teams to map out business processes, identify domain events, commands, and aggregates, and collaboratively model complex systems.
Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders from various business units to elicit, analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements. Translate business needs into clear and concise user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Data Gathering & Consolidation: Work closely with the project lead to source data from multiple systems, validating its accuracy, and transforming it into meaningful insights to support decision-making and project planning.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, requirements documents, project plans, and status reports. Provide regular updates to project sponsors and stakeholders on project progress and key metrics.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases, validate solutions against business requirements, and ensure the quality of delivered software solutions.
Develop Test Scenarios: Collaborate with product owners and development teams to identify and define test scenarios based on business requirements.
Write Test Scripts: Write clear, concise, and comprehensive test scripts based on defined test scenarios.
Identify Defects: Report and track defects identified during testing using designated defect tracking tools.
Maintain Test Documentation: Update and maintain test scripts, test cases, and other testing documentation.
Provide Test Support: Assist in test planning, test estimation, and test data preparation activities as needed.

Project Management Role:

Manage the planning and execution of medium to large-scale projects, ensuring delivery of intended outcomes while fostering collaboration.
Identify dependencies, evaluate risks, and communicate status to appropriate levels of management and stakeholders.
Ensure project deliverables, schedules, and financials adhere to established norms.
Periodically evaluate performance and develop action plans.
Monitor and control schedule and financial health of their assigned programs and projects.
Proactively remove obstacles to drive assigned project’s momentum and progress.
Plan and engage necessary resources across the enterprise to ensure successful completion of assigned projects.
Actively engage stakeholders and project managers of problem projects to assist with identifying corrective actions.
Develop weekly & other project status reports.

Experience and Skills:

Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
